Sidlab was created with a mission of producing a line of clean, quality products for both stylists as well as clients. Our minimalist approach to hair care provides a user-friendly experience, with our full line of products supplying you with everything you need and nothing you don't. Rooted in the Pacific Northwest, our brand embraces everything that is uniquely Portland: sustainability, cruelty-free, and locally made with natural ingredients. We are an independent, woman-owned company that was proudly designed by stylists, for stylists.
- In our experience as stylists, we understand how stressful it can be to bring on a new line of products. Our brand sets ourselves apart with our minimalist product line, where you can carry exactly what you want; no contracts or product minimums required. We also provide a gallon refill system, not only for our shampoos and conditioners, but our styling products as well, so stylists and clients can refill their products with reduced waste.
- So how was the name Sidlab born? Well, rumor has it the founder wanted to name it, “Baldis”, with a bald, Mr. Clean type guy as the icon. He was, for obvious reasons, quickly voted down by the partners. It was such a fantastically bad name, though, that they just couldn’t get it out of their heads, so they turned it over, spun it around, looked at it upside down, and finally Baldis became Sidlab…which is Baldis backwards.
